MUSEUM OF THE PACIFIC WAR
Located on a nine-acre site, the Center includes the George
Bush Gallery, Admiral Nimitz Museum, Plaza of Presidents,
Veterans' Walk of Honor, Japanese Garden of Peace, Pacific
Combat Zone, and the Center for Pacific War Studies.
OLD
TUNNEL WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA
The
"Old Tunnel" -- an abandoned railroad tunnel -- has become
the homestead for over two million bats. Watch as the over
two million bats leave the tunnel around sundown each
evening.
ENCHANTED
ROCK STATE PARK
The Rock is a huge, pink granite exfoliation dome, that
rises 425 feet above ground, 1825 feet above sea level, and
covers 640 acres. It is one of the largest batholiths (underground
rock formation uncovered by erosion) in the United States.
Indian
lore swirls around Enchanted Rock, which led to its name in
the 1800s. Today, visitors come to make the short but fascinating
trek up to the rock's summit, where they are treated to panoramic
views of the Texas Hill Country. Scenic trails along the rock's
base are especially pretty in the spring, and high cliffs
on the northwest side of the main dome attract rock climbers.

FARMS
Wild seed Farms is the nation's largest working wildflower
seed farm, where you can purchase wildflower seeds direct
from the grower.

STREET
Fredericksburg's
historic Main Street is lined with a wide variety of shops
& restaurants. Shop for antiques or eat authentic German
food all on Main Street.

STATE AND NATIONAL PARKS
Over 700 acres. Lyndon B. Johnson State Historical Park
honors a native Texan who achieved the nation's highest office.
